Our History
With a history dating back to before the Norman invasion, the Parish sits high up on the Weald of Kent, just a few miles from Royal Tunbridge Wells. With a population of around 5000 and comprising the four villages of Ashurst, Langton Green, Old Groombridge and Speldhurst, the Parish is popular with commuters and with those who simply wish to enjoy living in one of the most beautiful parts of the country. The scenery is spectacular and most of the Parish is designated Green Belt and an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The schools, both within the Parish and in Tonbridge and Tunbridge Wells, are some of the finest in the county.
